Tubing Trips: Mongaup to Port Jervis

Tubing is available as a new adventure for the Silver Canoe & Whitewater Rafting Guests.

Enjoy a leisurely 3 mile float- You will launch at the Mongaup access, float through the Mongaup rapids, enjoy the views of the spectacular Hawks Nest Gorge, shoot through the ‘Millrift Rapids’, and the ‘Eddy Farm Rapids’, before rounding the river bend and finishing your trip at our Port Jervis landing.

You will be transported upriver for your 3 mile, 1.5 – 2.5 hour trip through one of the most scenic sections of the Upper Delaware River. Your trip begins at the Mongaup access, where you will splash your way through the Mongaup rapids, paddle through the scenic Hawks Nest section of the river, shoot through the Millrift rapids and pass under the #2 Bridge, the Eddy Farm rapids and cliffs are just around the corner. After passing the cliffs please make your way to the left side of the river. Our staff will be waiting for you at the take-out.

Be Prepared for Your Trip

  • Download our waiver.
  • There are many spots to pull over for picnicking and relaxing on the shores of the Delaware! So be sure to pack a cooler full of food and beverage. We suggest that you also bring plenty of drinking water. No glass containers or heavy, metal coolers!
  • You can guarantee you are going to get wet! so bring an old pair of sneakers and a change of clothing.
  • Bring plenty of sunscreen or suntan lotion! Bringing along a hat is also a good idea!
  • Garbage bags are handy and will make it easier to discard any trash you may have at the end of your trip. Please do not litter! plus they make excellent rain ponchos, just in case.
  • Please be prepared to protect expensive cameras, video or audio equipment, jewelry or any other valuable items!
  • We do not allow pets on our trips.

 

River Rules

  • Silver Canoe recommends that all customers wear their life jackets at all times. Please wear it whenever you are fishing, floating, swimming, boating! All children ages 12 and under MUST wear their life jackets at all times, it is the law!
  • Silver Canoe reserves the right to refuse to rent to anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.
  • No carrying or discharging of fireworks or firearms.
  • No trespassing on private property.
  • Fishing permits are required.
  • No littering.
  • No destroying wildlife or defacing natural resources.

The Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River is a national park which is managed and patrolled by the National Park Service. Park Rangers are present for your safety and to protect the Delaware River. For a safe and relaxing trip please abide by all rules and regulations!

The health, safety and well-being of our customers, employees and community members are always our top priority.

We ask that all guests wear a face covering during check-in, during transportation, and whenever you are less than 6 feet from anyone outside of your household.

As operations resume, we want to assure you that we will continue our ongoing daily cleaning and sanitizing of our rental equipment, vehicles, and office spaces.  In addition, we will adapt to the recommendations of the CDC and other government agencies as required.

Please be understanding as procedures are changing regarding transportation and we will need extra time and patience to allow us to get you on and off the river.

Please complete your waivers and payments online at least the day prior to your trip to allow for a streamlined check-in procedure.

Wherever you are and however you are dealing with this crisis, please look out for one another and be well.
